My wife was there for many days. They personally taught me how to take care of my wife when I brought her home. They were so supportive I could never imagine anyone else.

Our family cannot thank the team at Ascension St. Vincent Rehabilitation enough. My dad had a nearly three-week stay after major spinal surgery to remove a mass that was constricting his spine — and the care he received was truly exceptional. Mary Jo, RN, cared for him almost every day and was absolutely incredible. Knowledgeable, thorough, and so warm — she made us feel like family. Every nurse on that floor was outstanding, but Mary Jo was something special. The PT team — Shannon and Grace, a talented PT student — went above and beyond. Grace had a real gift for keeping my dad motivated and always explained the “why” behind every exercise, which made a huge difference in his attitude toward recovery. The OT and speech therapy teams were equally wonderful and helped him regain his independence every step of the way. Here’s what blew us away — my dad arrived unable to walk at all. By the time he was discharged, he was walking nearly a mile on the treadmill and climbing a full flight of stairs. We never expected that kind of progress, and it only happened because of this amazing team. If anyone needs inpatient rehab care, don’t hesitat —- Ascension St. Vincent is the place. We are forever grateful. — Josh
