  Disorganized Program With Serious Communication and Billing Issues I would strongly encourage anyone considering this program to research other options before committing. From the very beginning, the expectations I was given did not match the reality of the program. I was still in rehab when I was introduced to this one-year program, and several things that were explained to me upfront turned out not to be accurate once I started. During the roughly nine months I participated, the program had constant staff turnover. I went through two counselors and three nurse practitioners, which made it difficult to build any stability or trust in the treatment process. Continuity of care is critical in recovery, yet that consistency was missing. I also did not even meet my second Client Recovery Advisor until almost a month after being assigned, which showed a serious lack of coordination. The scheduling expectations were also unrealistic for anyone trying to rebuild a normal life. The program requires a large number of meetings and video calls, far more than what was initially explained. Supposedly these meetings decrease over time if you remain compliant, but that never happened in my case. I was also told that weekend meetings could be scheduled if needed, but when I attempted to do so I was told they were not available. For someone trying to maintain employment, this becomes a real problem. If you are fortunate enough to have a job and are working 40+ hours a week, the amount of required calls and meetings can become extremely difficult to manage. Instead of encouraging independence and stability, the structure often felt like it created dependency on the program itself rather than helping clients transition back into real life. Communication was another major issue. After going through a difficult period and missing a few meetings, there was no meaningful attempt to check in or offer support. Instead, I was simply removed from the program. For a recovery program, that lack of support during difficult moments was extremely disappointing. The billing practices were also concerning. I was originally told there would be a certain monthly cost. However, after many months in the program I suddenly received a much larger accumulated bill, which had not been clearly communicated beforehand. Drug testing requirements also created additional financial burden. The program requires at-home drug testing, and if prescribed medications show up as positive on a test, you may be required to take an additional test at a medical facility at your own expense. Another frustrating experience was being signed up during monthly care meetings for family support or alumni resources, yet no one ever actually followed up to schedule or provide those services. I have also heard that the Indiana side of the program is now under new management. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the system felt far more focused on billing and administrative metrics than on providing meaningful recovery support. Recovery programs should provide structure, stability, and genuine support for people trying to rebuild their lives. In my experience, this program delivered disorganization, inconsistent staffing, poor communication, and unexpected financial obligations. If you are leaving rehab and searching for an IOP or continuing care program, I would strongly recommend exploring other options before committing to this one.

  It started out well, but when it came to paperwork related to my job and union drug card release sending a simple email evaluation became an impossible task for them to complete. What should have taken a day tops, drug on for over a week with nothing resolved. I could no longer wait for them to do something so simple. So I had to leave. The counselors that came to my house did a great job, but dealing with the other side of the operation ruined my confidence in this program. Sad but true

  During my 30 day stay at avenues they tented to every need, made sure I was comfortable, clean, and fed. All of the staff are amazing from the bht's to the therapists and case managers. 10/10 would recommend if you are ready for sobriety and recovery. Huge shoutout to Jeremy! Coolest dude there by far.
