Groups is a good thing for people in recovery because if you get a counselor like my which he is amazing and caring and respectful and understanding and values how you feel and he even ask us each week how we feel and asks us if he or anyone can help us in our groups he knows what we have been through because he has been through it as well he will tell you that as well groups sure does care and they do listen to what you have to say and they also value you and value everything that is good or if things need to be done differently but you have to be honest and respectful to how you talk to them and always ask questions that's what they are there for and they always keep you up to date with new changes and keep you updated in everything so if you need help they are really here to help you they won't give up on you so don't give up on yourself.
