I have made 3 appointments with this office and I've been seen once. It has been a year since I moved to this area and last saw a therapist, so I figured it was time to connect with a new one. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to see a new therapist. I arrived at the location a half an hour early, as instructed. I did all of my intake interview paperwork stuff, and then sat for 20 minutes before being informed that the therapist I was supposed to meet with was dealing with a mental health crisis of another patient, so I needed to reschedule. While my heart goes out to the person going through that crisis, I'm not really sure why I was penalized and why someone else wasn't able to take the phone call. Nonetheless, they rescheduled me for a week later. Not going to lie, I've been struggling quite a bit with my mental health so waiting an additional week when I thought I was going to get to talk to someone that day really sucked. But I tried to get over it and waited patiently until the next appointment. I went in the following week and was finally able to meet with my new therapist, though she was 15 minutes late. We met and had a decent session, although I was incredibly concerned with the fact that she seemed overly invested in everything I told her about my life. Concern to the extreme. When I'm looking for a therapist, I expect non-bias honesty. Not blindly going along with anything that comes out of my mouth. So that was a little off-putting and a bit of a red flag, but again, I tried really hard to push past it. I scheduled my next appointment for a week later. I confirmed the date and time with both the secretary and the therapist. I arrived today for my appointment just to be told that the therapist was actually out sick today. Of course she was. I asked why I wasn't called or informed about this because I had to take a half day of work just to go to this appointment. She then told me that I wasn't on the schedule anywhere and she had no idea what I was talking about or why I was there. To say I'm beyond livid is an understatement. In the realm of mental health care, your patients should be your priority. It baffles me that they have canceled two of my three appointments on me day-of for things I had no control over. I am so disappointed and do not plan on going back to this facility again. I will not be wasting my time.

I have battled 20 years of mental illness from childhood abuse. Since I have been going through Hamilton Center they have and are still continuing to change my life so I can live life to my fullest capability. I one hundred percent recommend Hamilton Center of Rockville! Because of them I have been able to learn about how change starts with yourself, being 29 years old I have suffered tremendously but now have hope for a better future and it's all thanks to the staff and therapy including a special thanks to my case manager and now my friend Cameron Wertz for being you and giving all your great advice and helping me have faith in humanity again. I appreciate you for everything you have done and continue to do for me! Non of this would have been possible without you! I will continue to work with the Hamilton Center for treatment and therapy Because they are committed and dedicated to helping all who suffer like me. They won't quit until they have completed their mission.
