  Firstly, groups were pretty decent, had a lot of good education and skills to hold and give out among social support etc. The groups did have cons due to the group leaders at times being quite harsh, and disregarding, and no, I very strongly would NOT consider it “tough love” in these specific moments I’m mentioning. Ontop of that, I have issues regarding BOTH therapists. On the first therapist I had in attending this place was Teresa. Decent at first, then down the rabbit hole sparing details on making this long, I was told “boys will be boys,” on a SA event. On another event, I was falling down the path of relapse into my eating disorder (which she doesnt specialize in according to online sources) however when the rest of the team was supporting me to go to a residential, she talked to me by disregard, and invalidation. Stating from my recent visit with the at time nurse practitioner, “you had gained 2lbs,” it’s a mental disorder. Not a weight based disorder. Among other events. Now onto Gary, who I had moved to see after being tired of the comments from Teresa. I didn’t even stay long into sessions with Gary, because a few sessions in him trying to understand me and my background, I got told in other words that “I do not understand why you are the way you are, your trauma wasn’t that significant.” Insensitive, and invalidating, and very not understanding of the changes from his generation to my generation (gen Z). Where his generation psychiatric health was hushed and unheard of, I strongly feel that biased is stuck with him. I stopped attending groups before I switched therapists to Gary due to a group leader telling me that she believes on “what I can and cannot do,” and had no regards for the whole picture on that event in time. Having strong opinions on it, that I was no longer gonna tolerate. After my last therapy session with Gary, another one was scheduled, I cancelled it, only for it to be RESCHEDULED without confirming it with me. That also got canceled by me. From people who I knew and know from also attending there, the employees who are still there or now may be replaced, I hear that my situations that happened, still get told around with my name. With no filter on HIPPA law and patient privacy. Something to also keep in mind on the professionalism of this place, look at the negative reviews and how they are responded to by the company. Unprofessional, and ass covering, every place has pros and cons to each individual. This place? More cons than pros for me personally.

  Best place I have really felt like I want stay and I want this to work for me. Great staff great great group of people I always look forward to going back.
