As a person of color you will be racially profiled if you take or mention any type of medications despite not being the reason for seeking out their services. Furthermore, please be advised that in order to utilize these services and schedule an appointment you must have access to a telephone. There is no alternative or secure methods of communication between you and the therapists.

We signed up with Pillars of Wellness, speaking with Christina Robinson, for both couples therapy and individual therapy for my wife. We were told there would be a wait of up to 12 weeks for couples and 8 weeks for individual therapy. After filling out our charts and waiting, the only communication we ever received was a single phone call offering an intake appointment that we could not attend because we were out of state. Since then, nothing. No follow-up, no updates, no effort to communicate. What makes this worse is that after I followed up with them, I learned our charts were apparently deactivated without notice. Instead of being transparent or at least asking us to confirm our place on the waitlist, they simply stopped all contact. We’ve wasted months thinking we were waiting for a call, when in reality, we could have pursued care elsewhere. For a mental health provider, this level of disregard for communication and continuity of care is unacceptable. People come to therapy because they need help — not to be strung along, ignored, or left in the dark. Completely unprofessional experience.
