Wow! I read the last review and I am not surprised in the least! I had an experience with this facility and while the lady was pretty confident that I was going to enroll. I guess you thought I had no other choice. She made it clear that she had control over me and if I was one minute late that would mean that my probation would go on forever and that the facility would profit as much as possible based on any problems getting rides that I don't normally need. Clearly the more dependent you are before this happens the higher your rate of success. If you are independent and you have to find dependence on other people then you are likely to fail. SteppingStone makes absolutely no sense. They are a profit machine that is supported highly by city and that is why they are at the top of their list. If you are ever in a position where you have to use rehabilitative services I highly recommend that you skip over this option. Remember me if you're ever in there and they tell you how big of an addict you are when the truth is you just have a life and you made one mistake.

My family member was medically discharged from this rehab due to having the flu— something completely out of their control. He was told repeatedly and very clearly by staff that once he was symptom-free, stayed sober, and passed a drug test, he would be allowed to return and finish his treatment where he left off. This was communicated not only to him, but also to hospital social workers and my self by phone. He did exactly what they required. He stayed sober. He waited until he was symptom-free. He followed every rule. Then, without warning, they refused to let him come back. To make matters worse, while waiting to be symptom-free, he was forced to stay in a shelter, putting his recovery and everyone else's health at risk — something no reputable rehab should ever allow or encourage. After speaking directly with the CEO, we was told this was supposedly an “insurance issue” because he had been sober during that time. That explanation makes no sense and directly contradicts what we was promised by staff. This place talks a lot about recovery, accountability, and support — but when it mattered most, they abandoned him. Making commitments to vulnerable people in early recovery and then going back on them is not just unprofessional, it’s dangerous. If you are considering this facility, understand this: their word means nothing. If something inconvenient happens, even a medical issue, you may be dropped without regard for your safety, sobriety, or well-being. I would strongly advise anyone seeking treatment to look elsewhere.

I really appreciate all the help I received while I was a patient here. I felt like the staff truly cared for me and other patients. I highly recommend this facility.
